This seems like another big story to me, so if it's been diaried already let me know and I'll delete.
According to a Wasilla internet company, Sarah Palin maintained ANOTHER private email account, in addition to her Yahoo account, that she used for state business:
Gov. Sarah Palin maintained a private e-mail account that she used to communicate with a small circle of staff members outside the state government's secure official e-mail system, according to the Wasilla company that established the site...
Quentin Algood, the owner of ITS Alaska, said a discreet e-mail system was created from an old campaign account, with access confined to "a group of people, her closest confidants and co-workers and advisers and the person she sleeps with."
Using these accounts, at "PalinForGovernor.com", is almost a direct corollary to Karl Rove's usage of RNC.com addresses to conduct official business.
Only allowing a small circle of close, loyal advisors on this server also smacks of Bush administration tactics.
ITS technician Ryan Gattis described working with Bailey this spring to set up e-mail addresses linked to the dormant campaign Web site. Gattis said there appeared to be 10 to 15 addresses, chiefly the small circle of aides known in Alaska political circles as "Palinistas" for their fierce loyalty to Palin, with Bailey taking system administrator authority.
The Palinistas are denying that these accounts are currently used, saying they've been shut down "for a long time." So maybe they'll answer why the article suggests that they were shuttered only after the Yahoo scandal broke, at the request of the McCain campaign?
How many other secret email accounts has Sarah Palin been using to conduct state business? How about her aides?
Where is the transparency?
If you thought it didn't get any worse than Dick Cheney - just give him some charisma and take away some (almost all) of his knowledge of global affairs. That's Sarah Palin.
